John Angelo has long been a member of the jewelry industry active in all phases of sales, manufacture, design, and fabrication and sourcing. His career started back in the late 1960’s Mr. Angelo started his career fresh out of art school with a passion for design, but moreover the history and lore surrounding the precious product which in many cases influenced the course of history.
He obtained his Graduate Gemology degree and the dye was cast.
Initially working at several retail establishments Mr. Angelo gained an in-depth knowledge of the inner working of this unique industry eventually attaining designer in residence at several elegant jewelry salons in New York.
He was exposed to a discerning client base which demanded the very best and could indulge that desire with unlimited financial resources.
With the help of one of his best clients he met many celebrities, including HSH Princess Grace of Monaco, Merle Oberon and Ava Gardener and many others.
Captains of business were clients and socialites who commissioned one of kind jewels or sought rare estate items.
Sensing a need to fill a growing demand, his knowledge and expertise as designer gave birth to another avenue of business a group of small jewel salons featuring only the dazzling remnants of the past with a dusting of modern and traditional fine jewelry pieces.
Featuring the works of renowned houses such as Tiffany, Cartier, Van Cleef and Arpels, Garrard, Black Starr and Frost and Harry Winston plus many others.
As his collection grew so did his client list and he soon realized that an even greater audience was available in special “estate jewelry events”, in the nest stores throughout the United States.
